Access and Equity 2025 is HERE!
The Great Lakes Bay Region STEM Initiative has been awarded grants from General Motors and Huntington Bank to facilitate youth events to build literacy and digital inclusion for low income students in 8 counties. The grant will support youth programs, program development, equipment, and staff development.
The project will leverage the Great Lakes Bay Region STEM Initiative and key pre-existing partnerships to increase skills and incorporate career exposure into events. Our region has STEM strengths and partners willing to incorporate Digital literacy components into STEM events and this funding allows us to expand the depth of our partnerships. The grants support removal of barriers such as transportation and implementation of more effective strategies and measures to increase our reach and impact.
