Great Lakes Bay Regional Alliance STEM Initiative #TeamUp with the Dow Championship

The Great Lakes Bay Regional Alliance STEM Initiative is thrilled to be one of the thirty-six nonprofits selected to participate in the Dow Championship charitable giving initiative

Each of the 36 nonprofits will be randomly paired with one of the 72 teams competing in the 2024 LPGA event. A total of $237,000 will be donated through this program with each selected nonprofit guaranteed to receive at least a $4,500 grant. There will be additional grant opportunities based on team performance in the tournament. Teams in the lead after Round 1 and Round 2 will receive up to a total of $3,000 each. At the conclusion of the final round, each of the top 10 teams will receive up to a $5,000 contribution and the first-place team will earn an additional $11,000. Selected nonprofit organizations will also have the opportunity to earn bonus funds during the Dow Championship.

“It’s immensely fulfilling to witness the enduring influence of the hashtagTeamUp for the GLBR program within our local communities,” said Dow Championship Executive Director Carlos Padilla II. “We’re excited to collaborate with our nonprofit partners as they team up with the world’s top LPGA players.”

The week-long event features more than golf. It includes an official LPGA Tour Pro-Am Tournament, STEM Center, youth related programming, Eat Great Trail and leadership events. This inclusive event offers free daily youth opportunities, affordable ticket prices, and free admission for kids 17 and under as well as past and present Military personnel.
