Learn, Do and Explore this Summer with the Michigan Learning Channel
Looking for ways to stay engaged with learning this Summer, look no further than The Michigan Learning Channel (MLC) and PBS. Our 8-week program encourages kids to “Learn, Do, and Explore” with literacy and math lessons, hands-on science and fitness activities, and career exploration and virtual field trips. Starting June 20th and ending August 14th you can find engaging themes like Take Flight, Engineering, Creatures, Under Water and more. Students in grades pre-K to 6th grade can take part in our Summer Activity Books. Summer activity books are free to all families, teachers, and community partners. Don’t have a printer? No worries use our lessons as a guide, pull it up on your phone or tablet and enjoy or find us out in the community to pick up your book.
Tune in for Educational Programs

Join us weekly on Wednesday’s by tuning into Live with Wimee’s Words. (Ages 4-8) Wimee the loveable robot and friends will be answering your questions and creating stories and songs with words that you share with Wimee. Then on Friday July 1st and August 5 at 1pm join us for Great Lakes Now Watch Party with the Belle Isle Aquarium. Come take a deep dive into science and meet some of our fantastic fish and creatures. Both events can be found on Facebook Live through the Michigan Learning Channel Facebook page.
