Virtual STEM Summer Camps & Programs for At Home

The Great Lakes Bay Region’s businesses that provide STEM camps have been given the challenge to continue to meet their missions while following the COVID-19 restrictions set out by our governor. Many of their programs and summer camps have been canceled or put on hold. However, these partners continue to reach families and their children through the virtual world and in many innovative ways. The following is a list of virtual STEM SUMMER CAMPS and Programs that these businesses created for the region’s families.

Mid-Michigan Children’s Museum

Space Camp Kit

We know nothing compares to real life camp but with concerns over the coronavirus and an uncertain re-opening date, MMCM has decided to make all our summer camps virtual! With each virtual summer camp registration you will receive a “PAL” kit modeled after our “Play and Learn” mission. Each PAL kit has a different theme and contains supplies and activities geared to engage your kids and keep them learning all summer long.

Watch the Mid-Michigan Children’s Museum’s Facebook Page and Website for information.

The ROCK Center for Youth Development

For the virtual summer camps, students will receive materials for arts and crafts like paper, string, washable paints, brushes and colored pencils. Everything for STEM activities from slime ingredients to materials to make hoop flyers. We will also make sure there are cool coloring pages, word games, and anything else students may need to join in on our activities. Additionally, each new student who joins will receive a pedometer so they have a chance to join The ROCK’s summer walking challenge

Camp activities will take place on The ROCK’s discord.
