PREPARATION FOR THE FUTURE
The CCRAA Research Apprenticeship Program

We are looking for qualified (GPA >2.8), motivated undergraduate students interested in participating in a CCRAA-funded undergraduate research training program.  This specific call for applications is to encourage and support Riverside Community College transfer students, including females and members of minority groups underrepresented in the sciences and engineering, for graduate studies or careers in research. All qualified students are welcome to apply, but priority will be given to RCC transfer students. Each student must have a faculty research advisor, develop a research project in consultation with a faculty advisor, and submit a CCRAA Undergraduate Research application.  Preference will be given to students who can demonstrate serious consideration and intend to pursue a Ph.D. in science or engineering.

Selected undergraduates at the junior/senior level can earn up to $4,000 during the summer working on a research project sponsored by one or more faculty researchers at Cal Poly Pomona.  Additional funding for research supplies and travel are available.  No previous research experience is required.

Application deadline is 5 p.m. on Monday, April 5, 2010.
Up to 8 awards will be made by May 1, 2010.
